When Steve Galper opened Genesis Jewelers on his own in 1987, the store was located in Queens, NY.  Now, 36+ years later, the business is running well in the Yorktown Heights location.  Genesis Jewelers of Yorktown has been a part of the community since April of 2002, when he moved the business to Westchester.  Steve has been in the jewelry business since he was 17 years old when his cousin asked his mother if Steve would go work for him.  From that moment on, he stuck with it.

“If you can dream it, we can make it” has been a mantra of Steve’s.  Working with clients to custom design pieces that can be handed down as heirlooms is something he enjoys.  When it comes to standing out, it’s all about the service you provide to your customers.  If you earn their trust and make them satisfied, then your job is done.

In August of 2023, Steve and Lara opened their second store in the Palisades Mall.
